Maggie Murdoch
Maggie's fanciful botanical work in inspired by the natural world of growth and change. This work invokes your imagination and conjures up the floor of forests and oceans and even deserts. They are fanciful, not meant to represent any particularflora or fauna or for any particular use, but for imagination's sake. The pieces are made in a combination of methods, wheel thrown, slab, coil and carving. There are many glazes used in combination and several methods of application; dipping, pouring, spraying, brush and syringe.
"My 35 years experience has brought me to this body of work that feels like it is just flowing"
